Booking conditions

Explorers Edge reserves the right to change the date or cancel tours due to weather or environmental conditions. Safety is our priority, and therefore if the conditions are not good we will offer the same trip the next day, if this is not possible, we will refund the full amount. By weather and environmental conditions we mean wind gusts, thick fog, road conditions, route conditions, physical reasons, and others. We focus on adapting to any situation as long as it’s within the safety limits.

NOTE: Day trips are not confirmed until fully paid for upon booking and a confirmation email has been received by the recipient.

Cancelation policy

Cancellations with more than 48hrs notice before departure of the trip will be refunded fully.

Cancellations with less than 48hrs notice before departure of the trip will not be refunded.

If the trip is canceled due to weather or environmental conditions, we will offer the same trip the day after. If for any reason this is not possible, we will refund the full amount.

In case of a no-show on any of our trips, refunds will not be made.

Alcohol and substance use

We have a policy of zero tolerance with substance or alcohol use during our tours. This is paramount to safety, and we reserve the right to prohibit any client on the tour if there are reasons to believe that they are under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

Explorer’s Edge ehf. operates in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any dispute arising from Explorer’s Edge ehf.’s operations shall be settled by the competent courts of Iceland.
