Waterfall Ice - Exploration

6 hours

Very easy

Highly individualized winter hike around frozen waterfalls with optional rappel.

This is a highly individualized experience that will show the world of winter waterfalls to the group. We’ll begin with a hike to the waterfall, which can range from a quick 5-minute walk to a more involved 2-hour trek, depending on conditions and your group’s preferences. We’ll focus on exploring the ice formations and enjoying the winter scenery.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try rappelling or let the guide lower you for a controlled descent. You can also try smacking some ice and seeing how the material works. However, the day is just as rewarding if you prefer to observe and take photos.

A few days before the tour, we’ll get in touch to confirm weather conditions and discuss any questions or preferences you may have. On the day of the tour, we’ll meet at the designated spot, review the basics, and adapt the itinerary to match your interests—be it a gentle walk around the frozen waterfalls, a simple rope work, a short hands-on rappel, or even a short lesson on the first steps into ice climbing.

No previous mountaineering experience is needed—just come prepared for a relaxed day in the cold. Join us for Waterfall Ice – Exploration: a perfect introduction to frozen waterfalls, where you can learn about ice, enjoy the winter light, and perhaps dip a toe into the vertical world—no pressure, just fun!
